When the First Baptist Church received the plea for help in packing grocery bags for Sandy victims, they responded. Tim Desilets, leader of SERVE, the youth group from Hope Community Church in King of Prussia, PA, the group that comes to serve in Vermont every summer, called with a plea. Our pastors put out a call and within a few days FBC had responded. The congregation collected $390 to be sent to help pack grocery bags full of essential food. We may be a little church, but we have a big heart for service!

Christmas joy for children is the best kind of joy and the First Baptist Church of South Londonderry is spreading some of that Christmas joy. On Sunday, November 4th, the church members packed 20 boxes for children ages 2 to 6. Each box contains some needed essentials, as well as toys, markers, crayons, stickers, books, and things that will delight the young child. These boxes will be delivered all over the world to children who live in impoverished areas,
through Samaritan's Purse, an organization founded by Franklin Graham. We are so pleased to be able to bring joy to the life of 20 children and spread Jesus' love. |
